To get your
site on the web, you must register a domain name. A user
reaches your web page by typing your domain name into
the URL field of an Internet browser. To see if a domain
name is available, you can check with one of the Internet’s
Registrars. One good place to look
is www.networksolutions.com.
We recommend that our clients register through TriTrillion.
Registering through TriTrillion is less expensive than
registering a site yourself; we are able to reduce registration
rates for our clients by registering in bulk. Registering
through TriTrillion also saves you the hassle of maintaining
your registration and dealing with the Registrar.
Every domain name has a suffix that indicates to which
top level domain (TLD) it belongs. Here is a partial list

Unless a TLD
is restricted, anyone can register a domain name with
that suffix. Restricted TLDs, such as .mil and .edu, are
only available to organizations that legitimately belong
to a specific category, e.g. military and educational.
In addition to the top level domains listed in the chart
above, there are many others which correspond to countries,
such as .ca for Canada, .ru for Russia, .uk for England,
.cc for Cocos Islands, .tv for Tuvalu, .us for United
States. Here is a link to a list of the country suffixes:
http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/topleveldomains/countrycodeA-E.asp.
TriTrillion offers value-added registration of domains
with the following TLD suffixes: .com, .net., .org, .ws

in most cases, and usually take effect within two business
